 Jim Platt

Platt commenced his career at Middlesbrough football club and made a huge presence in the Boro goal. He was very much part of the side that won the second division title during the 1973-74 season and his great play earned him 26 caps representing the Northern Ireland national football team, an amount that would have been greater if it was not for Pat Jennings. He later on played for Hartlepool, Cardiff City and finished his career of with his home club, Ballymena United.

Bobby Murdoch

Murdoch started his career off playing for Celtic in Scotland. In his long spell at the club, he won the European Cup final in 1967, 8 Scottish league titles, 4 Scottish cups and 5 league cups. After his delightful spell at Celtic he moved to England to star for Middlesbrough. He went on to spend three years at the club and made 125 appearances for Boro. He helped Boro to promotion to the top flight in his first season.
