Richard (Dickie) Robinson

Robinson made his debut for Middlesbrough in October 1944 at the young age of 18 years old. His great play earned him a call up to the national football team and he is widely regarded as one of the clubs greatest ever players. In total, Dickie Robinson has made over 415 appearances for the club in all competitions. He was a great defender and really committed to the team and the game.

 

Brain Clough

Clough is arguably one of the greatest strikers that the Country has ever produced and is thought by many to be Middlesbrough’s finest ever forward. At his home club, Middlesbrough, he was in emphatic form in front of goal, scoring a staggering 204 goals in 222 matches for the club, in a career that spanned nine years at the club between 1952 and 1961. He soon moved on to play for Sunderland in 1961, scoring a prolific 63 goals in 74 matches for the club. He had a very successful managerial career, most notably with Nottingham forest.
