John Neal
John Neal was installed as the new manager of Middlesbrough in the summer of 1997 and replaced Jack Charlton as the manager. His time in charge at the club saw the arrival of many new star players including Billy Ashcroft, Jim Stewart and Irving Nattrass. Prior managing Boro, he was in charge at Southend United and the Wrexham, taking the latter to the quarter finals of the European Cup Winners Cup. After his spell in charge at Boro, he went on to manage Chelsea FC.

Colin Todd
Colin Todd replaced former manager, Bruce Rioch in charge at Middlesbrough. His first and only season in charge at the club was a decent one, he took the side to the play offs, however they agonisingly lost their match against Notts County. He later on enjoyed a spell managing Swindon Town and Derby County. As a player, he played for Oxford, Luton and Everton.

Bryan Robson
As a player, Robson was arguably England’s best player during the 1980’s. He was capped on over 90 occasions for the England national team and was captain for almost six years. He also was outstanding while playing for Manchester united over the years. In the summer of 1994, ‘Robbo’ was installed as the Middlesbrough ‘player- manager’ and did a reasonably good job at the club. He went on to play for the club until 1997. He brought in some outstanding players into the club during his tenure, including, Juninho, Paul Gascoigne, Paul Merson and Fabrizio Ravanelli. He took Middlesbrough to three domestic cup finals. He left the job in the middle of the 2000-01 season and later on managed West Brom, a club he kept in the premiership at the end of the 2004-05 season, also known as the ‘great escape.’

Steve McClaren
After a very successful period acting as Manchester United assistant manager, McClaren was installed as the new manager of Middlesbrough in the year 2001. In his first season at the club he took his side to an FA Cup semi final and they finished off the season in 12th position. He was also the ‘England Number 2,’ during his spell managing the club. He guided Boro to winning the League Cup final in 2004 as they defeated Bolton in the crunch match. He was installed as the new manage of England in 2006.

Stan Anderson
Anderson was installed as the Middlesbrough manager in the year 1966, replacing Raich Carter in charge. In his first season in charge at the club, he led Boro to promotion and came close to guiding the club back in to the top flight of English football. He later on went on to manage a variety of clubs all over Europe, including, AEK Athens, Panathinaikos, QPR, Bolton and Doncaster Rovers.
